Description
The U.S. Forest Service is soliciting a fixed-price quotation to furnish and install six 60-by-18-inch portal signs and 84 12-by-18-inch road closure signs for the Elkhorn and Buffalo Gap burn areas of the Dakota Prairie Grasslands. The scope includes mobilization, labor, equipment, transportation, fabrication, aluminum sign panels, retroreflective sheeting, galvanized breakaway posts and anchor sleeves, tamper-resistant hardware, installation, site cleanup, and incidentals. Signs must comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, applicable FHWA requirements, and Forest Service standards; approved electronic proofs are required before fabrication. Amendment 003 changes the period of performance to October 1, 2026, through September 28, 2027, and revises the sign-post and installation specifications. The amended requirements specify TeleSpar galvanized square steel breakaway signposts with compatible anchor sleeves, a minimum five-foot clearance from the roadway surface, and specified offsets for portal and road-closure signs. The project is a 100% small-business set-aside with a magnitude of $25,000 to $100,000. The contractor must acknowledge the amendments when submitting its quote.
