The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure various CT7-8A6 engine components supporting the Presidential Helicopters Program. The planned actions include a modification to an existing firm-fixed-price delivery order and a new firm-fixed-price delivery order under a Basic Ordering Agreement, both intended for General Electric Aircraft Engines. The notice states that the procurement is expected to proceed on a sole-source basis under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 because only one responsible source can satisfy the agency’s requirements. This is a presolicitation notice rather than a request for competitive proposals; interested parties may submit capability statements for consideration of whether the actions should be competed.
