The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting a new Series 60 DDEC IV diesel engine with serpentine belt, part number 12512470, and a reusable shipping container, part number 12389942. The engine is identified under National Stock Number 2815-01-581-0635, with a quantity of one each. The engine must be preserved, processed, packed, closed, and marked in accordance with the provided Special Packaging Instruction, including applicable military preservation, packaging, container, quality-assurance, and marking standards. Requirements include preservation of the fuel, crankcase, exterior, and cooling system; use of specified preservatives and desiccant; processing documentation; container inspection; and marking such as the engine serial number and reusable-container designation.
