Description
The contractor will demolish and remove nine buildings, along with specified concrete walks and slabs, retaining walls, asphalt paving and base, curbing, gutters, debris, and vegetation within the designated right-of-way and demolition easements. Work also includes installing security fencing and gates, providing site access, protecting adjacent occupied properties and drainage features, and disposing of or recycling materials in accordance with applicable requirements. The attached pre-demolition report states that no materials containing at least 1% asbestos were identified in the sampled structures, while noting that certain historically asbestos-containing materials were not sampled and should be assumed to contain asbestos unless properly tested. The contractor must also complete site grading and restoration, including erosion and sediment controls, temporary seeding, and straw cover. Additional requirements include submitting the Georgia EPD project notification, arranging a licensed exterminator inspection and rodent-treatment letter, and using a licensed plumber to sever and cap the reported sewer-connected septic lines. Bids must be lump sum and uploaded in PDF format. A mandatory on-site offerors’ conference is scheduled.
