Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has an upcoming solicitation for constructing a new 1,200-foot lock at Lock and Dam 25, located approximately 61.5 river miles upstream from St. Louis and 241.5 miles above the mouth of the Ohio River. The new lock will be constructed in the downstream direction in the auxiliary miter gate bay, referred to as Location 3 in the System Feasibility Study (September 2004). The contract will consist of construction of a new 1,200-foot drilled shaft-founded lock, a 1,200-foot upstream ported guard wall, and a 650-foot downstream guard wall. The existing 600-foot lock will remain in place and will become an auxiliary lock chamber used primarily by recreation traffic or when the 1,200 ft lock is out of service. Plans and a Navisworks Federated Model are available upon request via email to the Contract Specialist.
