The Institut national de santé publique du Québec intends to acquire 100 NxTAG Respiratory Pathogen Panel v2 (IVD-CA) kits from DiaSorin (Luminex) during 2027. The kits detect 21 respiratory pathogens simultaneously and are used in influenza vaccine-effectiveness and hospital influenza morbidity and mortality surveillance programs. This is an Advance Contract Award Notice announcing the agency’s intent to award the supply contract directly to the identified supplier, rather than a competitive solicitation. Other suppliers may respond by the deadline and demonstrate that they can meet the stated requirements; responses will be considered to determine whether a competitive process should be launched. The agency cites the existing kit’s integration into laboratory workflows and the operational risks and costs of validating a replacement product as reasons for its intended sole-source award.
