Description
The City of Oceanside is soliciting a contractor to construct hardscape and electrical infrastructure for an EV charging installation at its City Operations Center. Work includes demolition and removal of existing concrete, asphalt, curb and gutter, sidewalk, fencing, and landscaping; installation of asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, concrete equipment pads, bollards, chain-link fencing and gates, signs, striping, and underground PVC conduit. The City will furnish five dual-port Level 2 charging stations, one Level 3 charging station, switchgear, a transformer, associated posts, and signs. The contractor must receive, move, protect, install, connect, test, and commission the equipment, including electrical distribution, grounding and bonding, communications and network connections where indicated, pavement restoration, accessibility improvements, startup, demonstration, and correction of deficiencies. The work must be performed under the stated public-works, prevailing-wage, federal-aid, Buy America, stormwater, and subcontracting requirements. The contract provides 50 working days from the commencement date in the Notice to Proceed.
