Description
King County is soliciting construction bids for a pilot-scale micro-electrolysis treatment project targeting arsenic in industrial wastewater from a methane processing plant. The work includes obtaining permits; furnishing and installing the micro-electrolysis reactor, treatment equipment, platform and stairway foundation slabs, anchoring, interconnecting piping, valves, instrumentation, and site utility connections; furnishing initial bulk chemicals and media; and performing hydrostatic and leak testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, inspections, and final system testing. The engineer's estimate is $966,400. The solicitation requires a bid guaranty of at least 5% of the total bid price, a minimum 5% utilization requirement for King County Certified Small Contractors and Suppliers, and a 2% minimum apprentice utilization requirement. Subcontracting opportunities include surveying, stormwater and erosion control, earthwork, concrete and masonry, special construction, plumbing, electrical, and pollution and wastewater equipment.
