Description
The City of Irwindale is seeking a qualified company or agency to conduct a comprehensive recruitment for its City Manager position. Services include developing the candidate profile and recruitment brochure; creating and implementing a recruitment schedule, advertising, and outreach strategy; conducting a statewide and, as appropriate, nationwide search; identifying and contacting active and passive candidates; reviewing applications; conducting preliminary screening and interviews; evaluating qualifications and organizational fit; and recommending candidates to the City Council. The selected consultant will also provide progress reports, candidate information, reference checks, professional background verification, news-media and social-media reviews, finalist interview and selection support, due diligence, a final report, and assistance with final selection and employment-agreement negotiations. Proposals must include the requested organizational, qualifications, approach, experience, references, cost, conflict-disclosure, and contract-related information, along with the completed Contract Services Agreement form. The City requires a minimum of five years of experience providing these services for public agencies in California and states that the majority of the work must be performed by the awarded consultant.
