Description
The City of Huntsville is soliciting fixed-price bids for pine straw rolls and wheat straw bales. The pricing form requests pickup prices by quantity tier, and the specifications require machine-compressed, tied bales; wheat straw bales are specified as standard size and compressed without a trailer. Pine straw must be clean and free of weeds, grass, sticks, and other debris. The City may reject unsatisfactory material. The contract has an initial one-year term, with two additional one-year extension options, and no minimum purchase quantity is guaranteed. The bidder must price every item. A bid bond is not required. The successful bidder must provide and maintain a certificate of insurance; the solicitation also specifies insurance coverage and limits. The successful bidder may need a City of Huntsville business license if it maintains a physical location or conducts business within the city limits.
