Description
The City of Trenton Department of Public Works, Division of Streets, is soliciting sealed bids for as-needed winter snow plowing services on designated snow emergency routes. The scope includes snow plowing and, when requested, loading, hauling, and dumping snow. The contractor must furnish appropriate trucks, loaders, plows, drivers, operators, supervisors, backup equipment, and emergency contacts. Equipment and personnel must report to the Street Division Yard at 476 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, New Jersey, within 60 minutes of notification of a snow event, and services generally begin at three inches of accumulation. The contract is for six months, with two additional six-month extension options, subject to funding availability. Subcontracting is not permitted. Bidders must submit the required bid guarantee, completed municipal forms and certifications, three references, and a completed proposal form with hourly rates for snow plowing and snow removal/hauling. A bid bond or certified/cashier's check equal to 10% of the total bid, capped at $20,000, is required.
