Description
The Ouachita Parish Police Jury is seeking a general contractor for storm damage repairs at the West Ouachita Branch Public Library. The base work includes replacement of metal roof panels and roof insulation; repair or replacement of drywall, rubber base, ceiling tile, ceiling grid, and insulation; reinstallation of existing lighting, security, and fire-alarm devices; painting; flashing, gutters, and downspouts; door canopies; and associated demolition, patching, weatherproofing, and electrical work. The bid documents also identify three alternates: replacement of wood batten siding with metal siding, installation of a fluid-applied roof-coating system over the new metal roof, and replacement of carpet in designated areas. Bidders must perform site verification, provide required bid security, hold the applicable Louisiana contractor license, and comply with the specified insurance, bonding, safety, and construction requirements. Self-performance of the work is not allowed.
