This formal public works bid covers replacement of the existing 18-inch ductile iron sewer force main serving Lift Station “N” with approximately 24-inch DR11 HDPE pipe installed by horizontal directional drilling. The work extends along Washington Street from New Natchitoches Road to Edwards Road in Ouachita Parish and includes force-main tie-ins, construction of a doghouse sewer manhole, filling and abandoning the existing force main, trenching, excavation and backfill, traffic maintenance, erosion control, cleanup, and related utility work. The successful contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals; maintain sewer flow during construction; complete the work within 240 days after the contract times commence and be ready for final payment within 285 days. A bid security of at least 5% of the total bid is required. Performance and labor-and-material payment bonds for the full contract amount are required after award. The bid package includes the Louisiana Uniform Public Work Bid Form, bid security, acknowledgment of addenda, corporate authority evidence, and Louisiana contractor license information; the Non-Collusion Declaration, Attestation Clause, E-Verify Affidavit, and Firearm Certification may be submitted with the bid but are required from the apparent low bidder within ten days after bid opening.
