Description
The Nevada System of Higher Education, on behalf of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is soliciting proposals from qualified Construction Managers at Risk for the December 6 Memorial Healing Garden. The approximately one-third-acre project will create a permanent memorial and healing garden within an existing landscaped campus area, incorporating memorial walls and markers, inscriptions and signage, seating, trees and plant materials, landscape and irrigation improvements, pedestrian pathways and accessible routes, lighting and electrical infrastructure, concrete and masonry, drainage and grading, furnishings, and related site amenities. The selected CMAR will initially provide preconstruction services, including constructability reviews, cost estimating, scheduling, value analysis, procurement and site logistics planning, construction phasing, long-lead-item identification, donor coordination, subcontractor and supplier market analysis, risk mitigation, GMP development, and construction planning. Subject to design completion, cost establishment, negotiation, and approval, UNLV may retain the CMAR for construction services, including project management, subcontractor management, procurement, site preparation, grading, hardscape, memorial elements, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, electrical work, testing, inspections, and closeout. The project is estimated at approximately $2,200,000, and the proposal may not exceed 50 pages.
