Description
The City of Weslaco is soliciting bids for roadway rehabilitation on 18th Street between South Border Avenue and South Bridge Avenue. The work includes mobilization; traffic control; stormwater and erosion-control measures; milling and removal of approximately 2 inches of existing asphalt; prime coat application; placement of approximately 2 inches of Type D hot-mix asphalt concrete overlay; and minor concrete work, including 4,000-psi concrete aprons and reinforced collars around existing sanitary sewer manholes. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, testing, traffic-control measures, cleanup, utility protection, and incidentals. The work must comply with the project plans, City of Weslaco requirements, and applicable Texas Department of Transportation specifications. Substantial completion is required within 45 calendar days after contract time begins, with final completion within 60 calendar days. A 5% bid bond is required; performance and payment bonds for the full contract amount are required after award.
