Description
The project involves removing an existing timber bridge and constructing a new cast-in-place concrete slab-span bridge supported by concrete piles. Work also includes localized drainage improvements, channel scour and erosion protection using grout-filled articulated block mat and geotextile fabric, and associated roadway and approach work. The contractor is responsible for providing the labor, materials, equipment, and other resources needed to complete the work. Bids must include electronic bid security equal to 5% of the base bid and alternates. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, and complete the work within 176 calendar days after the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Louisiana contractor licensing for highway, street, and bridge construction is required. The engineer's opinion of probable cost is $1,476,057.30.
