Description
Forsyth County is seeking qualified firms to provide environmental monitoring and watershed support services for its Department of Engineering. The scope covers water-quality and biological monitoring, approximately 1,100 dry-weather outfall screenings annually, use of certified laboratories, data management, technical memoranda, and entry of water-quality data into the Georgia Environmental Protection Division database. It also includes Stormwater Management Plan updates, annual watershed and MS4 reporting, detention-pond retrofit assessments, public education materials, and technical support for drainage, floodplain, erosion, illicit-discharge, pollution-source, stormwater ordinance, Best Management Practice, and watershed-improvement matters. The contract also includes industrial permit support for the Tolbert Street, Coal Mountain, and Old Atlanta Road Recycling Facilities, including employee training, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan updates, routine and comprehensive inspections, monitoring coordination, and annual reporting. Proposers must demonstrate relevant MS4, NPDES, industrial-permit, watershed, stormwater, and environmental-monitoring experience; hold current Scientific Collecting Permits from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; and submit qualifications, approach and methodology, key-personnel resumes, required forms, and a separate cost proposal. The contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2031.
