Description
Cherokee County is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to provide multi-phase design and engineering services for the 1.01-mile, 8-foot-wide Towne Lake Parkway Trail Phase II shared-use path in Cherokee County. The selected consultant will provide concept development, field surveys, environmental documentation and special studies, public involvement, preliminary and final roadway plans, signing and marking plans, erosion-control plans, utility plans, right-of-way plans and revisions, hydraulic studies, cost estimates, quality assurance and quality control, field-plan-review support, special provisions, and final plans, specifications, and estimates. The project requires compliance with applicable Georgia Department of Transportation plan-development, environmental, and electronic-data standards and includes required prequalification area classes covering roadway design, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, environmental studies, traffic, landscape architecture, hydraulics, surveying, utilities, soils, hazardous-waste assessment, and erosion control. The procurement anticipates one project-specific, multi-phase contract awarded to one firm, with the contract remaining in effect through successful completion of the preliminary engineering phase and possible construction revisions. The contract amount will be negotiated, and the proposed payment type may be lump sum, cost plus fixed fee, cost per unit of work, or specific rate of compensation. Phase I Statements of Qualifications are evaluated on experience and qualifications, resources and workload capacity, and administrative eligibility; shortlisted firms may later be asked for a technical approach and may be interviewed. The Phase I submission must include the specified company, personnel, project-experience, resource, certification, affidavit, addenda, agreement-acceptance, area-class, and lobbying materials.
