Description
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is soliciting bids for a three-year preventive maintenance agreement covering a Kewanee Manufacturing Company boiler, burner, controls, and associated equipment. The scope includes pre-maintenance inspection, fireside and waterside inspection and cleaning, burner and combustion-system service, control and safety-device testing, electrical and mechanical inspection, combustion analysis, burner adjustment, leak and operational testing, and coordination with required boiler inspections. The contractor must provide qualified labor, supervision, tools, testing equipment, materials, consumables, and incidentals; comply with applicable North Carolina boiler, OSHA, NFPA, ASME, NBIC, and manufacturer requirements; and submit a service report within five business days after each service. Pricing is requested for six semiannual maintenance services, with separate hourly repair rates and parts discounts. Major repairs require owner approval, and subcontracting requires prior written state consent.
