Description
The City seeks one or more qualified contractors to provide demolition services on an as-needed basis. Work may include demolishing residential and commercial structures, removing and properly disposing of debris and hazardous materials, grading and restoring sites, capping sewer connections, and seeding and strawing disturbed areas. Contractors must obtain required permits, hold a Class A Virginia contractor license, and complete each project within 60 calendar days after the City issues a Notice to Proceed. Asbestos may be present, and properties must be inspected for it when required. For each project, the City will provide the location, scope, and known site conditions; contractors will submit project-specific pricing and schedules for approval. The solicitation requests unit pricing for common demolition-related work and equipment and operator rates, relevant experience, project approach and availability, safety information, three recent references, and completed SCC and Contractor License Certification forms. The initial contract runs from execution through June 30, 2027, with four optional one-year renewals.
