Description
The Town of Jonesborough is soliciting mowing maintenance services for 29 municipal, park, roadway, cemetery, detention-pond, library, and school-property areas. Required work includes mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, litter pickup, weed control, and herbicide treatment when approved. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, safety signage, and incidentals; maintain specified grass heights; protect property and landscaping; operate during permitted daylight hours; and comply with OSHA and Tennessee Department of Transportation safety standards. Certain locations have special completion times, access restrictions, traffic-safety requirements, or equipment specifications. Bidders may price individual areas on a per-mowing-cycle basis, and the Town may award work area by area. Pricing is requested for both one-year and three-year contract options, with mowing seasons specified for 2027 through 2029. Vendors bidding on school properties must verify compliance with Tennessee Code Annotated 49-5-413 regarding background checks. The attached bid form requires firm, representative, address, phone, signature, years in operation, available equipment and manpower, and five mowing-contract references. Proof of $1,000,000 liability insurance naming the Town as an additional insured is required from awarded contractors before contract execution.
