Description
The Virginia Department of Energy is soliciting construction services to remediate and stabilize the Pen Hollow landslide. The scope includes mobilization, relocation and reconnection of customer- and public-service water lines, gate valves and meters, access roads, excavation, disposal-area preparation, tree and stump removal, roadside ditch work, underdrains, culverts, concrete encasement, erosion and sediment controls, surveys, and related site work. The project also includes rock buttress construction; placement of gabion stone, riprap, aggregate, concrete canvas, and other stone materials; hydraulic-hammer work; paving; revegetation; installation of a farm gate; and associated labor, inspection, and subcontracted surveying. The solicitation is an invitation for bids and includes a bid schedule, signed plans, specifications, and a Davis-Bacon wage determination.
