Description
The City of Cheyenne is soliciting a contractor to transport up to 18,500 cubic yards of compost materials from the Compost Facility to the landfill and up to 2,000 cubic yards of clean soil from the landfill back to the Compost Facility. The soil movement will be performed as backhaul, and landfill staff will perform all loading operations. Compost density may vary from approximately 800 to 1,200 pounds per cubic yard, and moisture will vary with precipitation. All hauling must be completed by December 31, 2026. The contractor must submit unit pricing for the two hauling line items and provide the transportation resources necessary to perform the work. A 5% bid guarantee is required when the total bid is $75,000 or more. A bid bond or acceptable cashier's/certified check may be used; no performance or payment bond is identified. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the City's e-procurement portal and acknowledgment of all addenda.
