Description
The City of Keene is soliciting bids for rehabilitation of the Cheshire Rail Trail Pedestrian Bridge over the Ashuelot River. The work includes mobilization and demobilization; selective demolition of the existing timber railing and decking; furnishing and installing new wood decking, hand railing, and rub railing; and associated bridge improvements using new hardware and related materials. The bid schedule also includes crushed gravel for trail approaches, silt fencing, installation of four mature six-foot arborvitaes, site restoration, and a $10,000 contingency allowance. The contractor must field-verify dimensions and conditions, provide required bridge and abutment work, and submit a bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds and execute the contract within 10 days after notification of award.
