The United States Air Force is conducting a Sources Sought market-research notice for small businesses capable of supporting military High Altitude–Low Opening (HALO) parachute operations. The contractor would provide aircraft, pilots and qualified aircrew, airlift tickets, packing facilities, drop zones, a vertical wind tunnel, and related operational support for the 352nd Special Warfare Training Squadron. Requirements include maintained and safety-inspected aircraft and wind-tunnel facilities; pilots with current FAA commercial and applicable instrument ratings; compliance with applicable FAA, Air Force, and parachute-operation regulations; aircraft reserved exclusively for military operations during drops; drop-zone control and safety support; packing space for up to six ram-air parachutes simultaneously; sanitation facilities; and response to service requests within 10 business days. The vendor and wind-tunnel facility must be located within 95 miles of Pope Army Airfield. This notice is for market research only and is not a solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
