Description
The City of Martinsville is seeking public input on a proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. The proposal focuses on the construction of a 7,560-square-foot Early Learning Center, which will operate as part of the new Martinsville-Henry County YMCA. In addition to construction, the proposal includes grant administration services to meet CDBG requirements. Public comments will be solicited at a hearing on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM Eastern time at 708 N. Memorial Boulevard, Martinsville, VA.
