Description
The Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection is soliciting bids for the closure of the Central KY Landfill located in Scott County. Major work items include stripping and stockpiling vegetative cover material, earthwork grading for the cap, installation of compacted earthen material, leachate toe drain, geocomposite drainage layer, geocomposite vent strips, 40 mil textured LLDPE geomembrane, leachate cleanout and active gas well boots, passive gas well vents and boots, placement of 24-inch cap vegetative cover soil, cap revegetation, erosion control wattles, and grading and graveling the existing perimeter road. Alternate bid items include offsite borrow area with soil erosion and sediment control and riprap channel lining.
