Description
Parks Canada Agency requires a mobile barge system assembled from sections in the water to transport and support an appropriately sized crane and an approximately 10-ton log lifter during replacement work at Campbellford Dam 11. The contractor must provide barge transportation, assembly and disassembly labour, a ramp, crane and operator, support vessels if the barge is not self-propelled, and all lifting, loading, unloading, and transport activities. The work includes moving the refurbished log lifter to the dam, removing the existing log lifter, and loading it onto Parks Canada-provided transportation. The contractor must also provide a stability analysis for the assembled barge with the crane and log lifter on deck, stamped by a professional engineer licensed by Professional Engineers Ontario. Optional work of substantially similar scope may be authorized for Healey Falls Dam and Pretty Channel Dam. The contract period runs from award through March 31, 2027, and award will be based on the lowest evaluated compliant price.
