Description
Bergen County seeks a qualified real estate appraiser to provide as-needed review appraisal services for its Open Space, Recreation, Floodplain Protection, Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund program. The contractor will review appraisals submitted for property acquisitions, confirm whether each appraisal supports its stated value, and, when directed, develop an independent opinion of value if the appraisal does not support that value. Work will be assigned intermittently, and the solicitation does not guarantee a volume of work. Respondents must be on the current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres Approved Appraisers list, hold New Jersey State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser status, and be qualified as an expert witness in real estate appraisal in New Jersey Superior Court. The response must address relevant experience, key personnel, approach, references, qualifications, conflicts of interest, and fees. The appraiser may also be asked to attend meetings in person.
