Description
The Borough of Seaside Park is soliciting proposals for a Borough Appraiser for Real Estate Tax Appeals under Contract 2027-08. The selected appraiser or firm will work with the Borough's tax appeal attorney; appear at conferences, settlements, and court as needed; prepare reports and advise the Mayor and Council on tax regulations, fair market values, and related analyses; coordinate with Borough administration and its insurance carrier; respond to resident and commercial inquiries when requested; and attend meetings as requested. The appraiser or firm must have at least 10 years of appraisal or tax-advice experience for a municipal entity in New Jersey, at least 10 years of experience litigating municipal tax matters, sufficient staffing, and a certified real estate appraiser with an MAI designation. Proposals must include an executive summary, staffing plan and resumes, relevant experience, New Jersey presence, conflicts disclosures, qualification documentation, required certifications and affidavits, a bid proposal form, and at least three references. The contract term is one year, ending December 31, 2027.
