Description
Orlando Utilities Commission is seeking a supplier to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and related services for explosive cleaning and de-slagging of the Stanton Energy Center Units 1 and 2 B&W radiant reheat boilers. The work includes removing slag and residual ash from fireboxes, burners, access doors, viewports, and pendant superheaters without personnel entering the furnace. The solicitation estimates approximately 60 explosive shots for a standard cleaning. The contractor must perform the work after the boilers have cooled, within a single 12-hour shift, and comply with site safety procedures, mandatory OUC safety training, blasting controls, and applicable Florida licenses, permits, and certifications. Pricing must address mobilization, demobilization, per diem, explosive shots, labor, materials markup, equipment rates, standby, and related response information. The proposed contract term is up to three years, with an option to renew for an additional two years by mutual agreement.
