Description
The National Research Council of Canada is soliciting a contractor to replace various roof areas at Building M-20. The work includes removal of existing roofing down to the deck; installation of modified bituminous membrane roofing and a PMMA fluid-applied roof membrane; insulation, overlay boards, flashing, sealants, roof drains, plumbing-vent modifications, duct waterproofing, and related sheet-metal work. The project also includes fiberglass access ladders, crossover stairs and platforms, ballasted roof guardrails, temporary access and overhead protection, fire and safety controls, hazardous-material precautions for suspected asbestos and silica, construction waste management targeting 90% diversion, and required health-and-safety, security, quality-control, and closeout documentation. Work must be completed within seven weeks after notification of offer acceptance. A mandatory site visit is required; bidders must attend one of the two scheduled visits and sign the attendance sheet.
