Description
The United States Air Force is soliciting a contractor to furnish labor, tools, materials, permits, and equipment for carpet replacement in Building 1947 at Shaw Air Force Base. The work includes removing existing carpet, cove base, and transitions; preparing the flooring; installing approximately 20,000 square feet of modular carpet squares and approximately 2,500 linear feet of vinyl cove base with applicable transitions; disassembling and reassembling existing furniture; delivery, setup, debris removal, and disposal. Quantities are estimates and must be verified by the contractor. Carpet and adhesive must be purchased from one of seven designated manufacturers, with no contractor markup permitted on those materials. The contractor must coordinate material pricing, provide a five-year workmanship warranty, protect occupied facilities, comply with applicable construction, environmental, and base standards, and obtain required permits. Work is expected to take 30 business days upon receipt of materials, with phasing potentially required to support facility operations. Base access requires employee background checks and government-sponsored access credentials; hazardous-material authorization and disposal requirements also apply. The revised offer must use the exact Attachment 5 Pricing Worksheet format, include CLIN 0001 through 0003 pricing on SF 1449, and include a signed acknowledgment of Amendment 0004.
