Description
The City of Santa Cruz is soliciting bids for a complete landscape improvement project at Ocean Street and Plymouth Street. The work includes demolition; site and soil preparation; grading; irrigation; planting; concrete and precast paving; landscape drainage; landscape boulders and a salvaged tree log; tree-mounted and sculpture uplighting; lighting wiring, drivers, accessories, and electrical equipment; and landscape establishment. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, coordination, testing, and incidental work necessary for a complete and operational project. The project is a public works contract subject to California prevailing-wage, Department of Industrial Relations registration, local hiring, licensing, insurance, and bonding requirements. The bid package requires a bid security of at least 10% of the bid price, a 100% performance bond, and a payment bond of at least 50% to 100% of the contract price depending on the award amount. The project must be completed within 45 working days. Bidders must submit the electronic bid package, pricing, subcontractor information, DIR compliance affidavit, non-collusion declaration, bid security, required certifications, and supporting information through the designated procurement portal.
