Description
Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District is requesting proposals for one new hi-rail bucket truck to support maintenance-of-way, signal, track, facilities, vegetation-management, and wayside infrastructure operations. The vehicle must include a diesel 4x4 chassis, insulated articulating or telescopic aerial device, 55- to 60-foot working height, minimum 30-foot side reach, 400- to 600-pound bucket capacity, integrated material-handling jib and winch, hydraulic retractable rail gear, standard-gauge compatibility, rail safety systems, outriggers, utility storage body, lighting, safety equipment, and compliance with applicable AAR, AREMA, FRA, ANSI, and OSHA requirements. The supplier must furnish and deliver the fully assembled vehicle, provide on-site familiarization training, operations and maintenance manuals, training materials, FRA hi-rail certification, warranty documentation, California DMV registration, and exempt license plates. The proposal must include technical specifications, completed specification self-certification, delivery and training schedule, firm experience and at least five similar customer references from the past seven years, required certifications and forms, conflict-of-interest information if applicable, and a cost proposal. Optional additive equipment includes a 2,000-watt-or-greater onboard inverter and secure tool-storage racks.
