Description
The City of Meridian is soliciting bids for miscellaneous upgrades at the South Black Cat Lift Station. The work includes removal and salvage of existing pumps, face piping, and related components; installation of a new dry-pit chopper centrifugal sewage pump, new face piping, valves, fittings, supports, and pump pedestal modifications; and resetting existing drain and air-valve piping. The project also includes electrical and control-system upgrades, including a variable-frequency-drive interface, motor starter, wiring, conduit, output filter, PLC programming, SCADA integration, commissioning, testing, operator training, and operation and maintenance documentation. Contractors must coordinate phased work to maintain lift-station functionality, provide required permits and licensed subcontractor information, and complete the work in accordance with the project plans, technical specifications, and Idaho public-works standards. A bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid price is required; payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the contract price are required after award.
