Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, is soliciting bids for the purchase and removal of government-owned timber at Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, Texas. The sale includes approximately 384 acres of pine and hardwood timber in Compartment 22, with estimated volumes of 2,100 tons of pine sawtimber, 1,500 tons of pine chip-n-saw, 2,500 tons of pine pulpwood, 2,700 tons of hardwood sawtimber, and 3,400 tons of hardwood pulpwood. The contract is a pay-as-cut unit price sale, with payment based on scaled mill or weight tickets. The successful bidder will be responsible for all harvesting, removal, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The contract expires on December 31, 2027. A bid deposit of $18,000 is required for Item 1, and a performance deposit or bond of the same amount is required within 10 days of award. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid form and are due by 10:00 AM local time on September 10, 2026, at Red River Army Depot, Bldg. 421 N, Texarkana, Texas.
