DeSoto Parish Police Jury is soliciting bids for reconstruction and widening of Brown Road. The work includes clearing and grubbing, subsurface drainage, soil cement base construction, asphalt surfacing, roadway and drainage-related removals, storm and side drain pipes, catch basins, erosion-control measures, traffic maintenance, pavement markings, signs, mailbox work, utility adjustments, and related construction activities. The engineer's OPCC is $1,800,000 to $1,900,000. Bidders must hold a Highway, Street, & Bridge Construction license, attend the mandatory pre-bid conference, and submit bid security equal to 5% of the base bid and alternatives. The contract provides for substantial completion within 100 working days and final completion within 130 working days after the Contract Times commence.
