Description
Long Beach Unified School District is soliciting a prequalified contractor to replace aging Cisco core MDF and IDF access switches at Carver Elementary School, Lakewood High School, Sato Academy of Math & Science, and Wilson High School. The scope includes planning, design review, migration coordination, physical removal and installation of Cisco 9500 and 9300 switches or equivalents, Cisco DNA integration, configuration, testing, documentation, and post-installation support. The project also includes replacement and management of patch cables, cabling cleanup, selected fiber patch cable and SFP replacement, IDF UPS removal and Tripp Lite PDU installation, equipment decommissioning, labeling, network topology updates, and remediation. Work that disrupts school operations must occur after hours, generally between 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Proposers must be prequalified, hold a California B, C-7, or C-10 contractor license, provide a current SPIN and FCC registration number, and submit a bid security equal to 10% of the total proposal price. A $30,000 district-controlled contingency allowance must be included in the proposal price. The contract is contingent on E-Rate and district funding, with services associated with Funding Year 2027 and an optional two one-year extensions structure stated in the agreement template.
