Description
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services is soliciting a single-prime, lump-sum public works contract to reconfigure two offices and create an access hallway to an existing storage area in the Allied Health Building. The approximately 150-square-foot project includes selective demolition; new partitions, a security door and hollow-metal frame; a clerestory/borrowed lite with tempered glazing; ceiling and finish work; carpet tile matching existing conditions; door hardware; lighting and electrical adjustments; HVAC reconfiguration; firestopping; painting; and related testing, cleanup, and closeout. The work must be coordinated with continued campus occupancy and prevailing-wage requirements. The estimated bid range is $55,000 to $65,000. The base bid must be submitted electronically through the DES Public Procurement Portal, with a bid guarantee of 5% of the base bid required because the estimated amount exceeds $35,000. The solicitation package requires completion of the online Bid Form and Bidder Compliance Form, submission of the Wage Theft Prevention Form, and electronic submission of the bid guarantee. A Diverse Business Inclusion Plan is also required for responsiveness. The contract requires substantial completion within 35 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and final completion within 30 calendar days after substantial completion.
