Description
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority is accepting sealed bids for the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant Blower Replacement project. The scope includes replacing four existing blowers with four high-speed gearless turbo blowers, including required valves, controls, instrumentation, and related construction work. SCADA integration is included in the base bid. Dissolved oxygen instruments, ammonia instruments and associated systems, and cartridge filters are alternate bid items. Existing blowers remain CFPUA property and must be delivered in good condition to the plant after removal. Addendum 1 changes the bid opening to September 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM; revises the contract time to 421 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 451 consecutive calendar days for final completion after the Notice to Proceed; and requires acknowledgment of the addendum. The pre-bid conference was not mandatory. Bidders must register and obtain official documents from CFPUA, hold a North Carolina contractor license with Unlimited Public Utility classification, submit a 5% bid bond or qualifying deposit, and provide 100% performance and payment bonds. Wet-ink signatures are required, and bids must be physically delivered as specified.
