Description
The Maryland Department of Health is soliciting a single contractor to provide total dietary department operations for the Thomas B. Finan Center. The scope includes three meals daily for patients and residents, snacks, meals and bag lunches for students, employee and visitor cafeteria services, food purchasing and storage, meal transportation, sanitation, emergency food planning, inventory management, cash-register operations, and provision of vehicles and drivers for required deliveries. The contractor must also provide professional clinical nutrition services through qualified, Maryland-licensed registered dietitians; develop menus, modified diets, nutritional assessments and care plans; maintain clinical documentation; provide nutrition education; conduct quality-assurance activities; and supply qualified management and supervisory personnel. The contractor must submit extensive technical and financial proposals, sample operating documents and menus, staffing information, references, insurance documentation, required affidavits and certifications, subcontractor information, and a price form. The contract is structured as a three-year base period with two one-year option periods.
