Description
The Washtenaw Area Transportation Study is soliciting proposals for a feasibility study of Dan Hoey Road between Dexter-Ann Arbor Road and Baker Road, including traffic serving the Dexter Community Schools campus. The consultant will engage stakeholders; collect traffic-volume, turning-movement, stacking, time-of-day, waiting-time, traffic-modeling, and non-motorized-traffic data; identify corridor pain points; and develop good-better-best recommendations addressing congestion, safety, pedestrian accessibility, and mobility for people of all ages and abilities. The work must include a final report documenting the study process, data analysis, recommendations, and potential implementation outcomes, followed by in-person presentations to the WATS Policy Committee, Dexter City Council, and Dexter Community Schools Board of Education. Preliminary concept drawings may be included, but project design is expressly outside the scope. The total contract amount may not exceed $48,870. Proposals must include technical and cost information, firm and personnel qualifications, a work plan and schedule, municipal references, authorized negotiators, and an independent-price-determination certification.
