Description
The project involves electrical infrastructure upgrades at Live Oak Park and N.O. Simmons Park. Work includes electrical service and distribution improvements, new and replacement panels, power pedestals and exterior receptacles, replacement sports lighting, lighting controls, and conduit infrastructure for CCTV systems. Associated work includes selective demolition, trenching and boring, connections to existing systems, testing, and restoration of disturbed landscaping and site areas. The procurement documents describe a stipulated-sum construction contract. Bidders must first submit qualifications for prequalification; only those determined qualified may submit a construction bid. The bid requires a completed bid form and bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount. The project manual also describes a proposed construction schedule and prequalification materials, including a contractor qualification statement, project experience, applicable licenses, and an employee-screening affidavit.
