Description
Los Angeles World Airports, a department of the City of Los Angeles, is seeking competitive proposals from qualified entities for a 10-year lease to redevelop and operate a fixed-base operator facility at Los Angeles International Airport. The opportunity includes approximately 527,795 square feet of general aviation land and 128,400 square feet of existing improvements, including a fuel farm and engine test cells. The selected proposer must enhance apron space, increase aircraft parking capacity, provide responsible and sustainable operations, make capital investments, engage the community, and increase revenue to LAWA. The financial proposal must address land, building, paved aircraft parking, and paved automobile parking rent; gross-revenue sharing subject to a minimum annual guarantee; special-events revenue sharing; fuel-flowage fees based on net fuel revenue; and a one-time building acquisition fee associated with demolition of existing improvements. Proposals require administrative documents, a written/technical proposal covering qualifications, redevelopment, operations, sustainability, benefits to LAX, and financial capability, and a financial proposal. The draft lease provides an option for an additional five-year term.
