Description
The National Research Council of Canada’s Flight Research Laboratory requires a five-year standing offer for engineering services and support related to its Convair 580 flight-research aircraft. The scope includes raw-material procurement and machining for hardpoints and pylons; engineering studies and certified structural modifications for external sensors; ongoing maintenance, repairs, and technical support; flight-load, aerodynamic, and flight-test analysis; component manufacturing; design and manufacturing data; pylon completion and fit-out; finishing; and procurement of additional components and parts. This is an Advance Contract Award Notice for a pre-identified supplier, KF Aerospace, which is identified as the Convair 580 type-certificate holder and Transport Canada-approved Design Approval Organization. Any alternative supplier must submit a statement of capabilities demonstrating that it holds the Convair 580 type certificate, owns or can access the aircraft’s design intellectual property, can provide certified structural modifications for hardpoint and pylon assemblies, and can support major aircraft modifications as an approved Design Approval Organization.
