Description
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is seeking sources for on-site scanning and digitization services for taxpayer records currently maintained in hard copy format. The services will be performed at the IRS facility located at 1248 N University Drive, Plantation, FL. The contractor will be responsible for converting approximately 330,000 pages from 101 boxes into searchable electronic files while maintaining the current organizational structure and ensuring the protection of sensitive taxpayer information. All work must be performed on-site, and records may not be removed from the premises. The contractor will need to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for the service. Key requirements include document preparation, scanning to searchable PDF format with OCR technology at a minimum of 300 DPI, maintaining original document order, and secure data handling in compliance with IRS and Treasury security requirements, including signing Non-Disclosure Agreements. Deliverables include a project schedule, scanned files, final delivery of the scanned image repository, and a quality control report. The period of performance is four months from the date of award.
