Description
The Town of Davie, Florida is seeking proposals from qualified firms for disaster and debris management and removal services. This is a pre-need, pre-event contract to provide services during disaster or emergency events, including hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, floods, fires, civil unrest, and terrorist attacks. Services may include large-scale debris removal, separation, storage, processing, and disposal; managing and operating Temporary Debris Management Sites (TDMSs); demolition and debris removal; hazardous waste handling; tree trimming, stump grinding, and removal; marine salvage operations; waterway debris clearing; sand removal; emergency berm construction; provision of ice, water, and generators; project management assistance; and assistance with federal and state reporting and reimbursement efforts. Proposers are required to attend a mandatory pre-proposal conference. A 5% bid bond is required and must be submitted electronically. The Town encourages participation from small businesses, women-owned businesses, minority-owned firms, and labor surplus area firms.
