Description
Carthage Water & Electric Plant is requesting competitive proposals for one new rack-mounted enterprise server to serve as a virtualization host in its production environment. The server must meet or exceed the stated minimum specifications, and specification drawings must be approved before order placement. The Q&A clarifies that refurbished equipment is not acceptable; the proposed server must include OEM warranty and support. Dell or Supermicro systems are acceptable, and equivalent configurations may be proposed. The minimum configuration includes two 32-core/64-thread AMD 9335 processors; 1 TB of ECC memory; one 960 GB M.2 SSD; six 7.68 TB NVMe SSDs; SFP+ networking, with SFP28 or higher acceptable if it uses an SFP-format connection rather than copper; TPM 2.0; and power supplies meeting the approved requirements. PCIe networking may substitute for the specified AIOM NIC, and one cable-management arm is acceptable instead of two. Proposals should include hardware specifications, warranty and support terms, estimated lead time, total delivered cost, and any alternate specifications with the brand, part number, and specification sheet. CWEP is tax-exempt.
