Description
Sumter School District seeks qualified, licensed plumbing contractors to provide fixed-price, on-call repair services at selected schools. Work includes snaking and jetting clogged lines; repairing or replacing plumbing lines, valves, and fixtures; and servicing commodes, urinals, sinks, drinking fountains, lift station components, water heaters, circulating pumps, and related plumbing components. The limit is $25,000 per project, and the District does not guarantee a minimum amount of work. The District intends to award to all responsive and responsible offerors. Contractors must respond to emergency repair requests within 12 hours and non-emergency requests within 72 hours. The contractor supplies the labor, materials, equipment, and tools, and must provide before-and-after photos, signed service tickets, and itemized invoices. Subcontracting requires the District’s prior written consent. The solicitation requires three recent similar-work references, a brief description of prior experience, local representative contact information, and information about failed projects, suspensions, debarments, and significant litigation. It also requires copies of applicable licenses and insurance information with the offer; certificates and endorsements for required insurance are due before work begins.
